I apologize – I can’t reply or post any comments

I sincerely apologize. This is very frustrating but I can’t respond to any comments even on my own blog. I can’t comment on other blogs either. Somehow my passwords send me into a loop of some kind and never show up. There is a message telling me I’ve posted that already but it still never shows up. I’m trying to get this fixed but I have no idea what to do until I’m able to contact tech support and I’ve tried that for about a week now. I’m going to keep posting my entries – because I can and that’s how I keep track of what I’ve read. Sorry!!!

Sorry about that, it could be frustrating. I hope the WordPress Happiness engineers sort it out soon.

Oh Becky, I know how frustrating this can be…

First, in case you don’t have it, this is a direct email address: help@wordpress.com
It’s probably run by AI, and will not necessarily respond to your issue in a personalised way. If you do get a real person, they may not have very good English.
So make sure you don’t ramble, explain very clearly in short sentences what your problem is *and* at the end add in something that will get their attention and their answer will reveal if you are in contact with a real person. (As in, e.g. I am so lonely when I can’t talk to my friends online.)
Make sure that you include what tech you are using, that is Apple IOS or Windows, and what version; plus what browser you are using and what version it is.

Secondly, they will probably tell you to do these things, so try them first if you haven’t already.
    1. Clear your cache.
    https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
(BTW if you search with Google for instructions, you may get a site that tells you about a Super Delete Your Cache process in WP’s admin. I have looked for it there and there’s no such thing so that’s possibly a hacker. Don’t go there. Use the link I’ve given you, or use the WP Help button inside your blog’s admin.)
    2. Update your browser to the very latest version.
    3. Try with a different browser. I have windows, so when I have problems I switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox (or Chrome) to see if the problem happens there too.
    4. Check the innards of your computer and download any updates and install them.
    5. Reboot your computer, and run a virus checker through it. This is important. Some changes or fixes don’t take effect until you reboot.

    Good luck, Lisa
