First a word about Némirovsky.  The 20th century French writer (novelist, journalist, refugee, Jewish-Catholic) was arrested by the occupying German forces in 1942 and died in Auschwitz at the age of 39.   She is primarily known for her posthumous book,  Suite Francaise, which was discovered (it was a novel not a journal!)  by her daughter in a trunk in 2004.   Suite Francaise, although unfinished,  was then published  >>> MORE >>>
