Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler

I read this many years ago,  but the 4-Mystery Addicts group at Yahoo decided to discuss it for the month of January and I enjoy rereading good books.   Ray Porter is a nice choice for reading this book so full of slang and hard-boiled cop-talk of the 1930s.

I don’t know what my problem was –  I just couldn’t get into it – too slangy and “hard-boiled” perhaps.  The plot lost me about 1/2 way through and I went on auto-pilot thinking it would clear up any time.  It didn’t.
